DREAMS TO THE RESCUE
A happiness building practice I adopted a few years ago: commit to writing and reading for myself, once a week at a cafe. I’ve spent so much quality time at this cafe, wrote and read here hundreds of pages. Today I’m devouring this incredible book, rooted in thorough research on high performance. One day my happiness book will be finished and I’ll find myself doing the last edits here!
Dreams are so underrated. It was at this table I started writing in my journal about interviewing people about their happiness practice and habits, it was at this cafe I interviewed two of the people who took part of the happiness research three years ago. Dreams love to plant roots and grow and evolve. They’re only passing, fleeting thoughts if that’s what we want them to be.
I believe dreams have a purposeful role in mindful decision making. They’re here to guide us and point out directions to get us closer to our true Path. They’re our own personal wisdom leader, available to us at all times.
Take a dream you have, journal ideas that have nothing to do with where you are and your perceived knowledge or strengths. Why? Because we have a natural skill to limit ourselves and tend to think small unless we allow ourselves to dream. Take anyone you admire and they’ll tell you no dreams are too big.
When we allow dreams to grow, nourish them, they’ll eventually show us we’re capable of magnificent, conscious choices and achievements.
