PERSPECTIVE FOR THOSE DARK MOMENTS

It took me a while to understand that those tough moments, failures, rejections, trying experiences, heartbreaks, all had their purpose in shaping me who I am today.

I hated the idea for the longest time. And then, when I learned to let go of old, dusty, negative thinking and self criticism, I started to get it.

Those painful experiences taught me so much about what I’m made of, gave me stories to tell my kids, and importantly, gave me the confidence that I can make it to the other side no matter how hard the challenge.

It was such a liberating experience to realize that I don’t have to get mad or suffer too long when things get tough, and to remember that every bump on the road, every moment of darkness carries with it an opportunity if only I’m willing to see it #trusttheprocess
