MY HUSBAND'S ART
I’m so proud of my husband who’s always relentlessly pursued his artwork for its sake and never for any other reason. He’s always been a constant inspiration (as cheesy as that might sound), his passion for his artwork a reminder that the things we do without expecting external recognition are the very things that we keep doing, for no other reason other than the pure joy of exploration and self expression (some may call the latter “selfish” but we all need it in our lives). [And yet, so nice to get that external reward and recognition once in a while! Seeking those opportunities is in itself a form of relentless, stubborn art form and so needed for our own happiness which ultimately is derived from sharing our gifts with the world to keep that faith alive and encourage others to put their own art out they also]. Those things we do for joy are the things we do to allow space for our spirit to climb out and shine. Had he not been by my side, I’m not sure I would have considered writing, and I’m not sure I would have kept in touch with my own creativity, overcoming the conformist way I was raised. The joy of creativity and self expression are gifts we pass on to our girls, who needless to say take that sort of family value for granted (as they should). Sweet to see they were truly proud of their dad #art #mural #artwork #inspired #shine #creativity#selfdiscoveryjourney @ Salesforce Transit Center
