ON THE PATH
At every point in our life, we're on our path.
If you feel lost today, you might find yourself on that portion of the road that's foggy and shady. As you go through it, you might remember that you experienced this sort of thing before, and it passed. This is the hardest thing to do - to imagine light in the middle of darkness. And as this rough portion of the road actually clears away for light, you might say to yourself - I'll remember this for next time I feel lost. You start working out the optimism muscle.
And after this scenario happens a few times, you become more confident, and more mature. You become aware that regardless of the road conditions, your perspective is what makes all the difference. You start working out the perspective muscle. You become more creative, and start seeing more options where before there were none.
What a difference does perspective make, right? What if there is a way to look at today as we look at one of the most beautiful days of our life? What if there is a different perspective you can take and look at yourself as pretty darn awesome, who has already every tool in her bag? You start working out the self-love and nourishing muscle.
You are not stuck, or lost, even though sometimes or many times it feels that way. Trust that as you move through day by day with integrity, you will earn your path, and you'll be clearer on why you do what you do. Trust that you'll learn what you need to learn from the portion of the path you're on, and that you'll be that much more wiser and mature on the next portion of that path. Time to exercise that wisdom muscle!
We're all conditioned to be afraid, but we're also equally conditioned to be happy. We have a whole system of happiness muscle built in. Time to exercise and build those muscles!
