I SMELL ADVENTURE
The year is fresh and my heart is hopeful and happy. I'm having so much fun dreaming up new adventures for this year. I can already smell the adventure that's coming my way.
I'm dreaming to finish and publish my book, which I'm half way through. I'm dreaming of starting a podcast, and I'm building up a list of people I'd love to interview. I'm dreaming of new adventures for our family and travels that open up our kids' world. I'm dreaming to take my mom to Hawaii. To hike the Pacific Crest Trail. To tour the Spanish countryside this summer. To go to Provence again.
In the words of Joseph Campbell "the hero's journey always begins with the call." You're the hero, and the journey is yours. Go on that trip, whatever your calling is. Is there something missing in your life? Get going. Don't resist the temptation to cross the threshold into a new life.
